PATROL LEADERS CAMP 2021

SATURDAY 25th TO SUNDAY 26th SEPTEMBER 2021

Dear Scout & Parents,

The camp will work as follows: Mike, Steve and Dave will take the equipment to the site. This includes all tents, food and equipment, not Scout personal kit.

I will walk from the site to the start point.

To meet Scouts at CAPSEM LANE CAR PARK 4:00 pm – Saturday.

This is on the A244, near the A3 roundabout – also on the maps provided. The Scouts have their personal equipment with them in a suitable bag.

The Scouts will have the maps (supplied with this letter), their route plans (created at home, checked on 17th) and their compass (posted out last year).

The Scouts hike with their kit to the site – Full Uniform. I will supervise the group, I will not carry their kit. The route crosses one road and two railway lines, I expect perfect behaviour at these crossing points.

Camp at Polyapes campsite. The Scouts will be sleeping 2 scouts per hike tent.

The Scouts will setup their tents, cook the meals for themselves and adults.

In the morning after breakfast, pack up, 1 hour supervised on-site activity (air rifle shooting) and hike back.

I will supervise the hike back to the starting point. Aiming to get there at 12:30 am Sunday The hike takes about an hour, I will message the group when we set off.

Homework. We will go through the homework with the Scouts on 17th September.
