Below is a standard kit list to help you prepare for upcoming camps - specific list will be sent nearer the time if needed.
Full uniform to be worn unless otherwise stated.
Large rucksack containing:
Sleeping bag
Roll mat (no blow up mattresses) Example here
Blanket and pillow (both very optional!)
Pyjamas
Torch and spare batteries
Hanger for uniform
Warm hat / sun hat
Waterproof jacket
Waterproof trousers and/or gaitors
Warm jumper / fleece
Thin long sleeved tops
T shirts
Trousers / Shorts
Socks (long and short)
Spare underwear
Walking boots
Trainers
Old pair of trainers or similiar for dirty activites (will be advised)
Old set of closted for dirty activities (will be advised)
Personal wash kit including toothbrush and toothpaste
Towel
Tea Towel (Essential)
Plate
Bowl
Mug
Water bottle
Knife, fork, and spoon
Spare bag for dirty clothes
Cards/travel games
Notebook and pencil
Personal first aid kit
Sun tan lotion (if sunny)
Do not to tie anything on the outside of your rucksack. It nearly always falls off or gets snagged on something. The only real exception to this is your roll mat which is difficult to put inside.
Everything must be named and put into plastic bags before putting in a rucksack - this is to keep your items dry if it is raining when we get on site.
ALL ITEMS TO BE CLEARLY LABELLED
SCOUTS SHOULD PACK THEIR OWN BAGS
PARENT CO-OPERATION IS REQUESTED TO ENSURE SCOUTS DO NOT BRING MOBILE PHONES, MP3 PLAYERS, OR OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES - they are easily damaged, dropped, broken or soaked. Leaders will not take any responsibility for these items.
