EACH SCOUT TO PROVIDE
GENERAL
Sleeping bag – a good one, or one inside another. Should arrive in a waterproof bag, so it is still dry when you get into it.
Consider a blanket.
Sleeping mat
Torches (the ones from the pound shop are fine, but good batteries) head-torches are good
Mini/personal first aid kit
A warm hat
Gardening type gloves (to hold hot handles)
Warm gloves for general activities.
Two complete changes of warm clothes (it will get cold).
Warm coat suitable for activities.
Warm sleepwear
Basic wash stuff – towel – there are proper showers on site.
Walking boots
Plastic bags for dirty clothes etc.
COOKING
Knife, fork and spoon
Plate, bowl
Mug
Tea towel - IMPORTANT
OTHER
The Troop will provide tents, food and cooking equipment
Try to label as much as sensible.
NOTES:
If things are in black bags they can be mistaken for rubbish.
A lot of electrical equipment is not happy with extreme cold and/or wetness.
No music players.

There is a small shop, basic sweets.
